How it got here

1969
Built as a transmission tower
Construction began at the summit of Namsan as a broadcast transmission tower.
1980
Opened to the public
The observatory opened, and Seoul saw itself from above for the first time.
2005
Renamed N Seoul Tower
A major renovation brought a new name, along with lighting and the media façade.
